True North is a master planned community within Greenvale. PLAN E has been engaged to deliver all reserve and streetscape works to multiple stages within Neighbourhood 3 and 4.
These works include the unique and spectacular Mt Aitken Reserve which affords users 360-degree views and a clear line of sight to the Melbourne CBD.
This iconic park offers a wide variety of unique and interesting experiences for all visitors, including play facilities that utilise the natural topography and materials of the site, multiple gathering points sensitively designed to minimise impact on views to and from the hill, universal accessibility to the hill summit, significant revegetation, and open grass areas for informal passive and active recreation.
The materiality of landscape elements has been carefully considered to ensure that it is sympathetic to the existing environment whilst providing robust durability and a contemporary yet lasting aesthetic.
The reserve includes significant indigenous cultural heritage areas that have been respectfully treated, with an extensive weed management programme implemented to assist in bringing parts of the reserve back to its original natural state.
We acknowledge and respect Traditional Owners across Australia as the original custodians of our land and waters, their unique ability to care for country and deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders past, present and emerging whose knowledge and wisdom has and will ensure the continuation of cultures and traditional practices.
