Jo graduated as a Landscape Architect from UWA in 2008 and, following work experience with the firm as a student, she joined PLAN E in 2009
Jo is a talented Landscape Architect who has skills across a broad range of projects including land development, urban design, institutional, environmental and infrastructure work. She has worked on significant projects from inception to completion, as well as providing specific input to projects at the research, analysis, planning and conceptual phases of work, which are her particular strength.
Jo is methodical, organised and thorough in her approach to her work, and demonstrates sound project management skills to facilitate timely and smooth delivery of projects. This can be seen recently for Joseph Banks SHS and Geraldton Multi-User youth Facility where she is the Project Landscape Architect. She has a particular interest in playground design, and has developed several nature-based playgrounds at Ellenbrook incorporating natural, as well as recycled building materials. In 2011 she completed a 2 day TAFE accredited Playground Safety Training Course to further her skills in playground design.
As well as strong design skills, Jo possesses strong graphic communication skills creating computer generated colour renderings of presentation drawings that are evocative of the design intent, legible and informative, ensuring the clear communication of ideas between the project team, clients’ and other stakeholders.
