Areas of Work

PLAN E’s vision is about creating a unique place inspired by the intrinsic natural landscape character and cultural heritage of the site. We work with the developer to ensure that the landscape treatment of the public realm, including entry statements, streetscape, interface treatments and public open spaces is integral to the branding and presentation of the development.

Health & Aged Care

Through our extensive experience in this field, we have developed a strong understanding of the needs of residents and take special attention in developing landscapes that promote safe but stimulating social and physical activity.  We use our expertise to design landscapes that help promote an active lifestyle, maintain health, enhance well-being and promote recovery.

Commercial & Hospitality

The significance of successful landscape design for commercial and hospitality environments has come to the fore in recent years with the trend to create destination places that offer a greater diversity of activities and experiences, especially in the retail sector which has suffered from the explosion in on-line shopping.

Greater emphasis than ever before is being placed on good landscape design in all levels of education facilities, in recognition of the importance of creating stimulating, engaging spaces that address a variety of needs, including outdoor learning, play, activity and socialisation, as well as quieter spaces for contemplation, reflection and retreat.

PLAN E approaches design from a community-based perspective, with the understanding that environments are social spaces that should be inspiring and engaging, allowing people to interact with and respond to it. We aim to design spaces that invite participation in their materiality and form and encourage meaningful connections between people and place.

Parks & Recreation

PLAN E, as a practice and by demonstration of our work, continues to further the role and recognition of Landscape Architecture as a fundamental cornerstone to the creation of contemporary, culturally relevant parks, playgrounds and recreation facilities.
